The Election Support Committee (ESC) is here to support elections in Goochland County, focusing on the key areas that keep our election process running smoothly. From recruiting and training election personnel to maintaining voter rolls and assisting with election-related meetings, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact.
While some groups focus on “election integrity,” we approach things a little differently. We believe that Goochland County’s Electoral Board, Registrar, staff, and Election Officers have always worked with integrity and dedication, despite the challenges posed by Virginia’s election laws. As we all navigate the ongoing changes in election laws, our aim is to be supportive, well-informed, and actively involved.
Our goals include:
- Expanding and maintaining a strong list of Goochland Republicans who are eager to volunteer and support the party during elections in Goochland County.
- Developing and conducting training for Poll Watchers and Election Officers to ensure that our volunteers are prepared and effective.
- Recruiting and training a reliable team of 100 volunteers to serve as Poll Watchers (PWs) and Officers of Election (OEs) for every election.
- Offering GCRC-specific training to support our volunteers in all election-related activities in Goochland County.
Whether you’re a member of the Goochland County Republican Committee or not, we welcome all Goochland Republicans to get involved. While full membership isn’t required, we encourage you to join if you’d like a voice in Republican Committee affairs.
