State Convention concludes successfully

The Republican Party of Virginia successfully held its Quadrennial State Convention on August 15th, 2020 at eleven different locations throughout the state simultaneously. Originally scheduled for May 1-2, 2020, it was postponed as a result of COVID-19 restrictions. If the 7th district event was any indication, the convention will be remembered as a very well organized, enacted, and precise process.

Amendment 1 – voted down
Amendment 2 – voted down
Amendment 3 – voted down
Amendment 4 – passed

After expressing appreciation to outgoing RPV chairman Jack Wilson for his service in leadership, Rich Anderson had special gratitude to all the candidates for stepping forward.

Rich further stated: “With party elections behind us, we now turn our full energies to re-electing President Trump, electing Daniel Gade to the U.S. Senate, and electing 11 great Republicans to the U.S. House. We are at a critical crossroads in the life of our Commonwealth and country, and it is imperative that Virginia Republicans elect and send these outstanding leaders to Washington next January.”
